Day 1:  Oct. 10 Wed.  Arrival / City tour / Brandy Factory

Day 2:  Oct. 11 Thu. Yerevan / Divine Underground in Arinj / “Kotayk” Brewery / Garni / Ghegard

Day 3:  Oct. 12 Fr. Yerevan /St. Echmiadzin / Ruins of Zvartnots / Football Match

Day 4:  Oct. 13 Sat. Departure

 

 

Descriptive Program
Day 1:  Oct. 10 Wed.  Arrival / City tour / Brandy Factory

Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Short rest. Breakfast at the hotel.

City tour in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. The historical centre of the city dates back to the 782 B.C. Today Yerevan is a nice modern and cosmopolitan city with beautiful open air cafés and restaurants, disco and night clubs, jazza clubs, theatres and cinemas and other entertainment centres.

Lunch in a traditional Armenian restaurant.

Visit History Museum which contains important evidences of ancient Armenian civilization.

Enjoy the evening Yerevan. The city offers its prestigious jazz clubs and the beautiful Cascade monument from the top of which you can enjoy the panoramic viet to the age-old city.

Overnight in Yerevan.

 

Day 2:  Oct. 11 Thu. Yerevan / Divine Underground in Arinj / “Kotayk” Brewery / Garni / Ghegard

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the village of Arinj to visit Levon’s divine underground, a wonder museum which is believed to be created by the help of powerful God. Continue to Kotayk brewery in Kotayk region. Beer has been brewed by Armenians since ancient times. One of the first confirmed written evidences of ancient beer production is Xenophon's reference to "wine made from barley" in one of the ancient Armenia villages, as described in his 5th century B.C. work Anabasis.

Continue to Garni pagan temple of 1st  A.D. which is the only pagan temple both in Armenia and in the whole Caucasus.

Lunch in a local house in Garni and participation in Armenian bread preparation process in the underground heater.

Continue to Geghard cave monastery of 13th  c. which is one of the higlights of UNESCO World Heritage List.  Drive back to Yerevan.

Overnight in Yerevan.

 

Day 3:  Oct. 12 Fr. Yerevan /St. Echmiadzin / Ruins of Zvartnots / Football Match

Drive to the ruins of the 7th c. cathedral named Zvartnots. Proceed to the town of Echmiadzin to visit St. Echmiadzin church. Lunch in a local social organization tasting home made Armenian dishes.

Drive back to Yerevan Free time. Football Match. Overnight in Yerevan.

 

 

Day 4:  Oct. 13 Sat. Departure

Trasfer to airport. Departure.
