Day 1. Arrival

Arrival at the International Airport Zvartnots. Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 2. Yerevan - City Tour

Breakfast. Excursion to the fortress, visit to the archaeological museum of Erebuni. Lunch. City tour around Yerevan. Visit to the depository of ancient manuscripts “Matenadaran”. Rest. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 3. Yerevan - Sevaberd – Lake Akna - Camp # 1.

Breakfast. Drive to the slopes of the mountain range Geghama. Climbing the chain through the picturesque fields. Picnic. The tour ends with trekking around the beautiful lake Akna. Camping. Dinner. Overnight.
Total trekking: 12 km.

Day 4. Camp# 1 (Lake Akna) - Mount Ajdahak - Camp # 2.

Breakfast. Trekking through the chain of volcanic peaks of Mount Ajdahak. Picnic Lunch. Ascending Ajdahak (3597m) - the highest peak of Geghama mountain chain, in the crater of which the lake lies. Descent to the lake. Camping. Dinner. Overnight.
Total trekking: 20 km.

Day 5. Camp # 2 – Azat River Gorge Camp # 3.

Breakfast. Trekking towards the Azat gorge to the southern chain of the beautiful mountains. Picnic lunch. Continue trekking through the gorge, to make the # 3 camp. Dinner. Overnight.
Total trekking: 19 km.

Day 6. Camp # 3 - Fortress Kaqavaberd - Camp # 4.

Breakfast. Trekking towards the fortress Kaqavaberd. Picnic lunch. Descent to the gorge of Azat. Continue trekking to make the tents. Dinner. Overnight.
Total trekking: 17 km.

Day 7. Camp # 4 - St. Stephanos Monastery - Camp # 5.

Breakfast. Trekking to Azat Gorge and visit the monastery of St. Stephanos. Picnic lunch. Camping # 5. Dinner. Overnight.
Total trekking: 11 km.

Day 8. Camp # 5 - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

Breakfast. Trekking to the river gorge. Visit “Havuts Tar” monastery. Continue tour to the famous Goght gorge and arrival at the Garni temple. Lunch. Visit the monastery of Geghard. Return to the capital. Transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. Dinner. Overnight.
